There’s a particular kind of emotional attachment that I feel about my websites. I don’t know if other artists feel the same way, or if it’s just because I’ve spent so much time labouring over them; anyway, they’re more to me than just a shopfront or a way to make money from words.
Sometimes I think that updating a weekly journal of creative accomplishments is a bit much. Other times I think it’s the only reason I get anything done.
It’s only because I realised all to soon that Friday had rolled around yet again and I hadn’t got the jump on anything I’d planned to work on that I got moving so I could come here and write, “look, I tried!”

July was a bit of a frustrating month because of just how unforgiving some of my chosen materials are… but I just can’t shake the feeling that they’re what I want to use right now. That’s why you’ll find a repeat appearance here, and probably again sometime in the future!

Pinterest is one of the essential marketing platforms that I’d recommend to visual artists. I’ve been using a manual pinning method for some time now, but I needed to upgrade to a scheduler to be able to manage my multiple accounts.
Tailwind is purpose-made for Pinterest, but I found it too expensive for what I wanted – managing three Pinterest accounts and Instagram as well.
So I tried Buffer. Was it any good for Pinterest?
Just like that, the summer holidays are coming to an end. I feel as though the weeks just slipped through my fingers, but I don’t want to whinge about it too much; at least we’ve got another week left.
