I genuinely could not have imagined 3D printing myself just a few months ago, but it’s just proven how technology can fit into a low-tech art practice.
Studio Notes 25/01/20 – Building Model Furniture
Building model furniture may not have been my overwhelming focus this week, but it was still my main achievement. The arrival of the long-awaited 3D printer has stirred the waters up and sent me off on a new quest, but hand-building a stage set with model furniture was a fun, grounding project to take on.
Studio Notes 18/01/20 – Starting Stop Motion Animation
So many exciting things happened this week that I could have chosen from a long list of highlights to focus on. It was actually hard to narrow down what the best thing was about the week. as so many new things popped up into the mix! Still, the thing that stamped the biggest smile on my face was finally starting stop motion animation.

This week has been really satisfying, not just because I’ve been able to get into the studio, sit down and just make stuff, but I’ve actually been able to do some cool things – including making a chalkboard notebook as a kind of commission for myself .
