After being an art technician for 12 years, I’ve been surrounded by art materials of almost every description, almost every day. I’ve witnessed and become a part of the constant cycle of creative discovery, consumption and discarding, and the humble, empty container has become my memento mori.

I create assemblage sculptures of empty receptacles, tubes, caps, remnants and blobs. These may then serve as source material for photographs, photograms, sculptures, drawings, paintings and prints. I may also use the “live” materials (those still in use) as sources.
